Ideal for ocean side picnics, Ebb Tide Park in Pismo Beach is found in a secluded corner of Ebb Tide Court. Inside the park, patrons will find many grassy areas and a pathway which look out over the Pacific Ocean.
Often used for weddings, Margo Dodd Park contains a covered gazebo with surrounded by grassy and overlooking the ocean. The recreational area is also popular with birdwatchers and photographers as there are many chances to see marine animals and birds. For those wanting to try snorkeling, a tide pool is found in the park with allows for under water exploration.
At Spyglass Park, people can access 1.5 mi (2.4 km) of sanded beach area, as well as 4 acres of green space that offers amazing views of the ocean and Pismo Beach. On the grassy area is a children's playground, picnic tables, barbeque sites and many benches.
Trails line the area of the Sunset Palisades Park, which is set a top of an ocean bluff and offers stunning views of the ocean. Picnic tables, a grassy area and benches are also on-site.
Visitors of Shelter Cove Park have access to 3.5 acres of recreational area that contains a gazebo, scenic trails and public stair access to Elmer Ross Beach. While the park is located beneath a hotel, it is open to the public.
Located across the street from the Ira Lease Park, the Mary Herrington Park contains many simple recreation facilities, including trails, picnic tables, grassy areas and a public barbeque. Visitors also have easy access to Pismo Creek, downtown Pismo Beach and nearby camping areas from this park.
Situated on a bluff that looks out over the Pacific Ocean, Memory Point Vista Park in Pismo Beach offers many scenic and secluded views. Visitors can enjoy a barbeque, have a picnic or relax in the grassy area.
Accessible by foot only, the Pismo Lake Ecological Reserve boasts three lakes and contains an array of plant and animal species. To get there, visitors can park slightly west of the 4th Street and Highway 101 interchange and walk into the park.
Overlooking the ocean with a seaside trail, Eldwayen Park offers scenic views of Pismo Beach. The park stretches four 1.5 mi (2.4 km) and contains parking, stairs to the beach, tide pools, a grassy areas, picnic tables and benches.
California's largest monarch butterfly grove sits at Pismo Beach. Each year from November through February, thousands of butterflies rest in the eucalyptus trees. Docents are available during the migration season to answer questions daily from 10am to 4pm, as well as offer walks each day at 11am and 2pm.
Formed by winds and ocean waves, the Oceano Dunes Recreation Area is one of the few dune areas that welcomes swimming, hiking, surfing, limited clamming and off-highway driving. Vehicles are limited to certain areas of the dunes, one mile south of the beach from Pier Ave. Camping facilities are also found in the area.
Ira Lease Park is located in downtown Pismo Beach beside Pismo Creek on the east side of Dolliver Street. Inside the grounds are picnic tables, benches, barbeque grills, a grassy recreation area and creek side trails.
At Boosinger Park in Pismo Beach, people will find play equipment, a drinking fountain, picnic tables, barbeques and stunning ocean views. There is also plenty of green space for visitors to relax or play a game on.
Encompassing 38 acres of land, Chumash Park is a popular destination for families, pet owners and nature lovers. There is a playground and trails that lead through wetlands and forested areas, giving people a look at Pismo Beach's natural aspects.
