Welcome to Pismo Beach!
Pismo Beach is located on the California's Central Coast and is part of San Luis Obispo County. Unspoiled beach, sand dunes and desert surrounds this city. The weather averages between 55°F (13°C) and 70°F (21°C) year round, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and sun worshippers. The Pismo Beach Pier is one of the city's most noted attractions and offers 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean. The pier, over 1,300 ft (396 m) in length, is the most heavily fished of the central coast piers and offers clamming opportunities on the beach below. Many visitors plan their trips to Pismo Beach in mid-October to participate in the annual Pismo Beach Clam Festival. This two-day free event features a parade, local vendors, live entertainment as well as a clam chowder cook off. California's largest Monarch Butterfly Grove is also located in the city. The public is invited from November to February to tour the area's eucalyptus trees inhabited by thousand of Monarchs.
